Soaps from Saizen

Saizen is like a treasure box for me. You can find a lot of knick knacks that are out of this world. Their charcoal masks received raves from GTalkers. I just found out recently that they also have skin care products and soaps! And most of the powder foundations were always out of stock. So I settled for the soaps.

I got a box of Germanium which contains 2 bars of soaps.

I finished the 2 soaps already and here's what I got to say:

Raves:

- hard-milled so it lasts long

- lathers well

- did not dry my skin

- made my skin soft and smooth

- it has a herbal scent that I like (most korean soaps I tried  has also this scent)

Rants: 
- none

I also bought a box of Scrubbing Soap. This is currently our soap.

All Organics Lemongrass Shampoo

One morning, I was listening to Mo Twister, Grace Lee and Mojo Jojo in their morning radio show about industry secrets. And this guy called . He was working for a major cosmetics company which he didn't name. He said that their company is using really bad stuff for their products and it is about hair care products. Whoa. Wait a minute there. I was terrified! 

Last year, I started using organic products more than the commercial ones. But I still buy one or two stuffs to try out.  I can't help being a compulsive buyer (arghh!)

Anyway, I have been an online shopper for over a year now and I remember All Organics being featured in a television program. I already inquired about their products online but I never get to order their products. So when I saw Sesou at Trinoma, I immediately grabbed a bottle of their lemongrass shampoo. So here's my impression...

Raves:

- has a herbal scent: grassy and minty combined

- lathers well and cleans hair very well even with small amount

- it has no harmful chemicals: no sulfates, non PEG, and non paraben formulation

Rants:

- made my hair more stiff and frizzy :-(  

Oh well...I would like to try their Milea Baby line next. I might find something that would work for me.

St Ives Moisturizing Olive Scrub

 St. Ives products have been my bathroom staple since college days and one of my favorite is the apricot scrub. Who doesn't? 

I love the beads. It makes my skin smoother.

which I think is more chic and more trendy.

- it effectively removes my make-up and makes my skin smooth

I still want try their other products though ( because I saw new items displayed in Watsons, duh). Now, I have to talk to my wallet. Hehehe.

Nivea Angel Star Body Soft Souffle

 

My father used to work in Germany and has been in different countries in Europe. And every time he comes home for Christmas or summer vacation, he never fails to bring Nivea products for my mom. Most of the products then were not available locally. We are lucky now that products from the different parts of the world are just one click away (thanks to the internet!).

It has been a while since I used a Nivea product. There are hundreds of products to choose nowadays so I always end up trying something new out of curiosity, packaging and the raves. 

When I saw this cute tub in the supermarket, I said to myself "why not?" 

So I got the smallest tub to try out...

 

 

Raves:

-since I got a small tub, it is so handy I can take it anywhere.

-it is creamy and is easily absorbed. 

-my skin did not become oily even on hot, humid days.

-the scent is not too strong so I can layer my perfume without clashing with the cream

Rants:

-None

I think I will try more Nivea products because they have new formulations and I want to know if I am still "hiyang" with them.
